About this project

Sar is a traditional food store in North Macedonia. They sell the kind of products people have been buying for generations, and they needed a visual identity that would work on the shopfront, on packaging, and on anything they put in front of customers. It had to feel rooted in tradition without feeling old or dusty — honest and reliable. We designed a logo that works at small sizes and on a sign, chose colours and type that feel warm and grounded, and wrote guidelines so the brand stays consistent. The kind of place you trust for good, traditional food.

Traditional food branding can tip into either too plain or too nostalgic. They wanted something that felt genuine and easy to recognise.
